Early Life

Taylor Dawn was born on July 16th, 1987, in Garland, Texas. When she was 4 years old, she heard the song "Maybe it was Memphis"  by Pam Tillis, on the radio, and new from that moment, she wanted to be a country singer. She was very shy growing up, kept to herself..always the quiet little girl, with big dreams of being on the radio one day. Her mother and father divorced when she was one, and she has one older brother whom she loves more than anything. At the age 5 her mother remarried and she gained a new sister, and together they would put on little shows in the living room, and karaoke all the time. When Taylor Dawn was in sixth grade, she finally built up the courage to audition for the All State Regional Choir, and made the cut. She loved choir. Stayed in choir all the way up into 12th grade. She was always doing UIL competitions and singing any chance she got. Her mother would take her to the local venues to sing. The very first time Taylor Dawn built up the courage to audition for a solo in choir was in 8th grade. She was not a very popular girl, and was still very shy. When she auditioned, she messed up pretty bad, and everyone laughed at her, but Taylor was not going to let that stop her. In highschool she auditioned for a singing group called "Variety" where there were 4 girls and 4 guys. They would perform for their peers, and travel around Dallas, Texas performing at local parties, such as the Mayor of Dallas' Christmas party. Taylor Dawn graduated highschool with hopes of becoming a country singer. She auditioned for a band called "Chasing Highways" and became their lead singer. She sang with them for about 2 years from the time she was 19 to the age 21, all over DFW. At the age of 21, she met her sons father and in the year of 2009 she had her son Vayden Cash Carroll. After she had her son, she took a break from singing to be able to spend all of her time with her baby boy. She tried out for American Idol in 2009, and did not make it through. She has been in several singing competitions that she has won, including Agave Idol in Rockwall, Texas. Today, she resides in a small town called Little Elm, in Texas. She lives on the lake, which is her favorite place to be. Taylor Dawn is currently pursuing her dream and is working on her first record. She writes her own songs, and also covers all of her favorites. You can follow her on Youtube, instagram, twitter, google+, and facebook. You will not want to miss out on this journey. She is sure to blow you away with her majestic tone, and the soul she lays down, you can feel the pain and struggles she has gone through when listening to her perform. This girl will certainly, without a doubt, rise to the top of the country music scene.
